Summer Garden Party Dressing

16/04/2020

back to blog

We were (and still are!) in much need of a little pick-me-up, and it’s as though we have been heard. The sun is shining and the weather is hotting up, and there’s nothing quite like a bit of sunshine to boost our moods and put smiles on everyone’s faces.

And, although we can’t still go out, that doesn’t stop us from enjoying the sunshine from the comfort of our own back gardens or balconies! We may not be able to have a garden ‘party’ as we know it, be it with friends and family that you don’t live with, but you can have fun with members of your household. Whether it’s sunbathing in the garden pretending you’re in Ibiza, swapping your Sunday roast for a BBQ or recreating your own music festival, we’ve rounded up a few things you can do and what you can wear whilst doing them too!

Have a BBQ In The Garden

Pop open the Prosecco, crack out a beer or pour yourself a refreshing gin – whatever your go-to drink, it’s time for a BBQ! And, what a better time to put your loungewear in the wash and get dressed up too! Think bright floral dresses in elegant tea styles – we love!

Michelle, one of our lovely Face of Yours winners knows just the look we are talking about. Ditsy floral dresses teamed with a light denim jacket to add a little edge and finished off with a pair of strappy sandals – we LOVE.

Have Your Own Festival In The Garden

The festival you attend each year been cancelled? Make your own! Okay, you might not be able to enjoy it with the friends you’d usually go with, but why not set up a Zoom chat, order a festival outfit and put on your favourite music. Not quite the same, but almost!

We are loving pretty midi dresses teamed with belts and chunky boots – perfect for festival dressing at home.

Set A Picnic Up In The Garden

Pack away the joggers and dust off your jeans – it’s time to find a nice top again. Whether it’s a day of bottomless brunching or a day in the garden with the kids playing games, make time to stop and have a picnic in the garden. It’s the perfect way to make the most of the sun and enjoy time with the people around you too!
