In a world of uncertainty, one thing’s for sure: we’re all in this together. And that’s why we are going to do all we can to provide you with distraction techniques every day over on our social channels and here too. For now, we have put together 10 tips on how to stay positive and beat the boredom whilst you’re staying indoors.

1. Take Advantage of The Time

Use this time to do all the things you’ve been meaning to do or to try something new. Whether it’s sorting out a pile of unopened letters or getting your head stuck into a book you’ve been meaning to read, it’s the perfect time to make a start on all those things you’ve been putting off.

2. Keep a Good Routine

If you’re working from home or just taking some time to relax, make sure you stick to some sort of routine. It’s a good idea to maintain consistency, whether that’s waking up at the same time, going to the gym as you would regularly or just making sure you get dressed – these are the small things that will keep you going.

3. Follow Feel-Good Accounts (Like Us…)

Follow accounts that make you feel good. Whether it’s an account that posts funny memes, fun and interactive quizzes on Instagram or the best style advice, make sure you keep your timeline filled with positive posts and pictures.

4. Think About Screen Time

If you’re spending time looking at your computer screen or your phone, make sure to take regular intervals to keep yourself focused. Try taking a walk to make a hot drink or pop outside for five minutes and let your eyes have a rest.

5. Stay Connected

If you’re indoors, combat loneliness and make sure you stay connected to your nearest and dearest. If you’re unable to see friends and family, then there are so many ways you can keep in touch virtually.

6. Take Time To Go Outdoors

The fresh air and daylight are essential to your wellbeing. Whether it’s a brisk walk to briefly get you out of the house or even just opening up your windows to let some air in, it’s a great way to give yourself a much-needed refresh.

7. Watch That Series You’ve Been Meaning To

There is no better time to pop on your comfiest clothing, snuggle up in a blanket and make a start watching the latest Netflix series you’ve been waiting to watch.

8. Experiment With New Recipes and Cook Your Favourite Meals

It’s literally the perfect time to cook up a storm. Dust off your cookbooks, pop on your apron and get ready to start experimenting with new recipes or cooking up your favourite feel-good meals.
